McCrary Media Center
Meet the librarian: Ms. Salabak
I am very excited to be in the McCrary media center! I have been teaching for 7 years, but this is my first media position. I have taught 2nd grade and ESL. I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently working on my Masters Degree through East Carolina University. I like to hike, bake, travel, and READ!!
About the media center:
Our collection has over 10,000 volumes. We also have a mini-computer lab for student use. Kindergarteners and first graders may checkout one book at a time. Second through fourth graders checkout two books at a time. Fifth graders may checkout three books.
Scholastic Book Fair- April 24-30, 2012. Buy one get one free sale!
Books Need to be returned by May 11. Students with overdue books will not be able to attend water day unless books are returned or paid for.
For the last five years, McCrary has fielded a team for a district-wide Elementary Battle of the Books. The students read twelve books and answer questions about the books at the competition.

Participation Requirements for BOB, Jr.
You must:
- be a 5th grade student
- enjoy books and reading
- be committed and stick with the program
- be willing to read at least 8 of the books (minimum) from the required booklist
- be a team player and show good sportsmanship
- attend Battle of the Books club meetings and practice sessions
- have transportation to and from any club meetings before or after school
- be willing to compete against students from other elementary schools
