Principal's Message

Julie Brady

Dear Parents & Visitors,
Thank you for a wonderful 2010-11 school year at Charles W. McCrary Elementary! This year I have enjoyed working with each student, parent, and staff member to ensure our students’ academic and social success. The staff worked very hard to prepare for an exciting year, and I hope you are pleased with your child’s academic progress.

Our school is one that is committed to the individual needs of our students. We are dedicated to improving student performance, teacher instruction, and the enhancement of knowledge and skills required for working, living, and learning in an ever-changing “global” society. Our children participate in a full range of programs including: art, music, physical education, media, guidance, and technology.  Each day our students are taught to model character, integrity, and maturity, through our PBIS program as they strive to grow into productive citizens.

During the 2010-11 school year, our staff set goals for ourselves to continue our students’ academic progress. I am very proud of the progress each grade level made this year. I am proud that our students are performing better than they have in recent years. I know, with your continued support, our students will continue to grow.

With over 400 McCrary students as our priority, our goals are lofty.  We, as a school, know we need our partnerships with parents and community and believe these resources keep us strong. We encourage everyone to take an active role in their child’s education by communicating regularly with their teacher, attending school events, joining the PTO, and reading with your child daily. Together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish!
I hope you have the opportunity to explore our website and learn more about McCrary Elementary School. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at jbrady@asheboro.k12.nc.us or reach me by phone at (336)629.1817.  Through high academic standards and a caring school environment, we will continue to grow!

Have a great summer,
Julie Brady, Principal
